There was a time
We lived miles apart
On the edges of isolation
An absolute feel of estrangement
A state of hopelessly tangled up
The city was deserted
The roads were emptied
Streets were silent
The night was freezing cold
We met at the cross roads
The universe conspires to
Make people meet each other
We found each other personas
Went ahead without a murmur
Walked over each other shadows
Embraced the nuances of our brilliance
We were in tandem
We never mind shackled up
Learnt how to confess things
You told me the things
You never said aloud
I shared my goods and bads
Never been naive
We travelled on an uphill road
Reached a point where
The road got split into two roads
You chose a different road
We got splitted into two
You stood there for a while
We looked at each other
We said nothing
But that kind of nothing meant everything
You were the one to look away first
I regret we didn’t take the same road
A part of me still stayed on
The road where we stood

A bitter wind whipped at my face
It blurred every detail of you
It carried away the smell of you
Once in a while
I contemplate
Have I had two roads
I would have chosen a third one
Our whispering words
Dissolved into the trees
Will bloom as colourful flowers
When the spring starts
Nothing burns like a cold flame
I allowed the coldness to engulf me
Some winters never melts.
